My services

I am a freelance project manager, writer and advisor helping good causes to powerfully use the Internet. I’m based in Te Whanganui A Tara Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand.

I’ve tried to think of all the ways I can help organisations but perhaps I have missed something. Don’t be afraid to ask if you think I could help. If I can’t help do everything you need, I have a wide network of industry contacts so can pull together a team to get the results you want.

Getting your web project off the ground

I help organisations get what they want online. Whether you’re creating, redeveloping or refreshing your website, or setting up new ways of sharing knowledge and connecting, I can help.

Having worked on projects big and small, I know what it takes to get a web project ready to launch to a waiting audience.

Everything else

I also support organisations with:

  • Sharing, learning and organising online
  • Writing and wrangling web content
  • Ad hoc advice on software selection, web 2.0 and internet strategy
  • Running online surveys and undertaking other research projects
  • Making presentations or running training sessions on various aspects of online tools (see the my workshop & presentations list for topics I’ve covered in the past)
  • Facilitating online communities
  • Policy making around NGO capacity building.

I work primarily with tangata whenua, community and voluntary organisations, government agencies and small businesses.

Charges and terms

Here are some details about the way I work:

After initial contact to discuss working with you, I will prepare an agreement and work plan to talk through and agree on.

If you’re seeking advice from me, including coaching and project management, I typically charge this based on an agreed hourly rate. I can provide a fixed price quote for producing specific deliverables.

I’ll work with you to suit your budget and circumstances. My clients include both large and small, government agencies and nonprofit organisations.

Any work I do is only at the request of an authorised staff member. Outside an agreed-upon work plan, no organisation I provide freelance services to has as a long-term obligation.
